The following are the major enhancements to VIMAS Imaging SDK v5:

• Microsoft .Net components now a part of SDK.
• Redesigned interfaces. All methods and properties are grouped in accordance with the type of image processing they perform. Interface’s structure is very similar for both COM and .Net implementation.
• Microsoft Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) supported now. It is available through the same interfaces as TWAIN.
• Improved JPEG decoder, optimized for computers with SSE2 command set (Pentium 4 class). Lossless JPEG rotation and cropping are supported.
• Improved TIFF support. A lot of new compression and color coding methods supported now.
• Powerful image adjustment algorithms, including Color Cast Removing and Shadow/Highlights correction.
• Efficient adaptive Gauss and Median filters.
• High quality Unsharp Mask filter.
• Efficient Red Eye Removal filter.
