* Resample (resize), rotate and flip the original image before optimizing it.
* Apply a new 2D edge shape effect to your image.

Two Dimensional (2D) Edge effects allow you to create different edges of the image to make it really look distinctive.
Effect parameters are:

  • Softness - smooths the elements of the edge effect.
  • Noisiness - makes the elements of the edge more or less random.
  • Dot size - defines the size of the edge element.
  • Width - defines the width of the edge.
  • You can select different Patterns to create the Edge effect

* Adjust a program window size to optimize it for your screen resolution.
* Select between two different variants of a transparency presentation.
* Sort colors in the palette table with different sorting modes.
* Trim an image to discard 100% transparent area and to leave only meaningful (opaque and semitransparent) areas in the optimized image.

Web Image Guru, version 2.0 has:
* More user-friendly JPEG controls that lead to the best optimization results on the market.
* JPEG compression parameters Compression, Color and Sharpen define the compressed image quality and the size.

The compression parameter defines the compression level of the image. The value of 0 results in the least compression level for the image and better quality. The value of 255 results in the biggest compression level for the image and the lowest quality. Compression parameter defines the compression ratio for Luminance component of the image and initial value for Chrominance component compression. The real Chrominance component compression value is defined by combination of the Compression and Color parameters.
The color parameter is used to control the color component (Chrominance) compression ratio. The value 0 means that the Chrominance component is compressed with the same level as defined by the Compression parameter. Negative values improve color quality resulting bigger file size. Positive values compress color component more resulting smaller file size.

* Improved shape positioning.
* Simplified image preview in Web browsers.
* Better integration with Adobe Image Styler.
* Run Adobe Image Styler.
* Web Image Guru will be available from menu File-Preview In-Web Image Guru.

Note, that to use Web Image Guru optimization features you should select in ImageStyler Export settings (menu File-Export Settings) PNG-TrueColor format. It is better to check Transparency and uncheck Make Page options.
If in Export settings selected Entire Composition or Trimmed Composition mode then single image will be optimized with Web Image Guru.
If in Export settings selected AutoSlice or AutoLayout mode then Web Image Guru will be run in batch mode and will optimize every slice in most suitable format. Note, that new HTML file with slicing information must be created. Web Image Guru will ask you about HTML file name and location after compressing first image.
Note, that it is only the way to create sliced image that consists of slices in different image formats.
