Useful tool for image filtering and enhancement.

The Filter Studio plug-in is a classical Adobe Photoshop plug-in which, in contrast to Web Image Guru plug-in, doesn't save images to files. It returns processed image to main application and, therefore, very useful for image retouching and editing. It may be used in Adobe Photoshop actions or Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 scripts. Filter Studio plug-in is a part of Web Image Guru Suite.

The key features of Filter Studio are:

• It works as a "classic" Adobe Photoshop plug-in and do not save processed image to the file.
• All filters support regional processing via alpha channels or selections from external graphics editors.
• All filters may be applied separately to Lightness (L) or to Chrominance (a and b) color channels of the Lab color space.
• Most filters have a Range parameter that lets to specify how different pixel values should be before they are eliminated from processing.
• High quality Adjust(Shadows/Highlights and Color Balance correction) filter that lets to remove color cast, tune color balance, correct shadows in a well-exposed image, silhouetted images due to strong backlighting, and to open up underexposed images.
• Smooth, Despeckle, Median, and Blur filters for noise removing and detail smoothing.
• Sharpen filter for accentuation in the image edges. This filter implement high-quality Unsharpen Mask Algorithm, and has some advanced control parameters.
• Gamma correction filter for simple brightness-contrast correction. Separate tuning of filter sliders for individual color channels (i.e. for red, green, or blue) may be used for basic color balance.
